SASHA GOLOGORSKAYA was born in Kiev, Ukraine and raised in San Francisco, California. An alumna of the San Francisco Ballet School and a graduate of the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, Sasha has performed both classical and contemporary work in New York City, San Francisco, and London, including repertoire and new creations by Sameena Mitta, Marika Brussel, Gabrielle Lamb, Merce Cunningham, George Balanchine, Morgan McEwen, Kevin Jenkins, and Ho-Shia Aaron Thao. She has danced principal classical roles like Giselle and SugarPlum Fairy and has been featured in the NY Times for performances of Jerome Robbins’ Watermill as part of BAM’s Next Wave Festival. In addition to performing, Sasha also teaches ballet to young dancers. She is grateful for all the opportunities to keep discovering the body, technique, and artistry as a performer and educator.
